Migration

In a Digital Asset Management context, migration can refer to either the wholesale migration of a system or the migration of the data itself (e.g. from one format to another). Migration techniques often involve exporting the data to a platform-agnostic format (such as CSV or JSON), prior to data-cleansing, conversion and importing into the new system.
