DAM Glossary is a resource containing definitions relating to Digital Asset Management and related fields. It covers a range of different subjects including metadata, hardware, interoperability, asset manipulation.
The glossary can be searched in several different ways:
Each term is within an overall hierarchy according to how specific it is. Broader and narrower terms can be accessed from each definition and related terms that are non-hierarchical in terms of their relationship are also shown.
Each term can be rated (registration and login is required to rate).
Registered users can post comments about terms which are then sent to the author.
If a definition is deemed to be inappropriate (e.g. excessively promoting products/services or non-neutral) then it should be reported using the Report flag icon. You will be asked to provide a reason and further information. You may be contacted by email to provide more details.
The DAM Glossary is operated by Digital Asset Management News. The original edition was donated to DAM News by consultants, Daydream in February 2013. The DAM glossary is collaboratively maintained by DAM News contributors and a group of subject experts. If you wish to become a contributor, please contact us.
